Hello! My name is Daniel (a.k.a. Zenergize). This page is for anyone interested in buying any of my vinyl records up for auction on eBay and who would like to see my visual grading standards. I follow these standards to a T...

GRADING VINYL

Mint - Means Sealed in original Shrinkwrap or has never been played(there are some possible unplayed records that have never been shrinkwrapped).

NM - Means close to Mint with maybe a few super light scratches(mainly the type from sliding the vinyl in and out of sleeve) but still basically looks unplayed.

VG++ - Almost NM but with just a handful more light angelhair scratches here and there, this vinyl will still look almost perfect under a strong light.

VG+ - Still in Excellent condition, some light surface angelhair scratches here and there that are more noticable and maybe a light scuff or two, but should still play practically perfect.

VG - Great condition with some light surface scratches here and there(which may or may not affect play but shouldn't). May or may not have very slight label wear.

Good+ - OK condition with scratches that may or may not affect play(most likely will affect play with pops and interruptions and whatnot here and there) but it may not!. Likely has some label wear, possibly someone's initials on labels, etc.

Good - Quite a bit of scratching which will probably interrupt normal play(most likely will have some effect to normal play with pops and maybe some skipping). May or may not have label wear which includes possible writing on the labels or tears to the labels.

Poor - I usually don't sell Poor LPs unless they are ultra ultra rare LPs. But in that case, they will be quite scratched up and, well, very poor quality.

GRADING COVERS

Mint - Usually means fully sealed in the original shrinkwrap(cellophane), and has never been opened, and has no visual blemishes on the shrinkwrap that may affect the cover.

NM - May or may not be enclosed in original shrinkwrap, but either way it will be just about flawless. Any blemishes on a NM Cover would be very small and inconsequential(such as natural age).

VG++ - May or may not be enclosed in original shrinkwrap. Should be almost perfect but may have a couple very slight corner scuffs and/or possibly a tiny blemish on the front or back-side. Nice clean clear front face.

VG+ - Crisp clear front, no seam splits, may have some slight scuffs on the corners or sides or may have a light blemish somewhere. Also may or may not have ever ever-so-slight partial ringwear(but usually does not).

VG - May have a slight small seam split or two where noted but maybe not. May have light scuffs on corners, edges, or front cover, the cover may have some light ringwear or a slightly bent corner. Either side may have a small blemish or someones initials or name written. A VG May have any or none of these flaws.

Good - May or may not have stains, tape, ringwear, someone's name or initials on the front or back. Most likely has some seam splits.. some may be long. Could have corner bends or small rips here or there. The artwork on the front of a Good Cover should still be very viewable however and should still hold the Vinyl inside of it firmly.

Poor - I usually don't sell Poor records unless they are ultra ultra rare, and in that case they will be quite abused. Or I will sell a record with a Poor cover ONLY if the inside vinyl record is in great shape.

Please keep in mind that any old vinyl records that I sell may also include some dust and/or fingerprints on them and they may need a little bit of cleaning(Most of the Vinyls that I sell are clean however). Also, all records are visually graded only, and under a strong light.
